Lye & colour wood

Colouring wood can be one of two methods; chemically altering the wood colour (lye products) or adding colour in to the wood surface (stain). Lye finished floors should be treated with classic oils whether clear or coloured. Stained floors should be sealed using top-coat products although you may also use a coloured oil to enhance the stain before this.
